Healthy Snacks for Kids: Banana Ice Cream
Children love ice cream and we have found a delicious recipe that the whole family can enjoy for both the taste and the healthy ingredients. It is a recipe that I learned from Joe Cross in his book “The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet” and I have made a few adjustments to make it easier to blend and even more yummy and nutritious!
Healthy Banana Ice Cream
The recipe is simple:
Take 2 frozen bananas and chop into 1 inch chunks. Put the banana chunks into the blender along with the 1 tablespoon of Almond Butter, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, a handful of ice cubes, 4 tablespoons of Almond Milk and a handful of Macadamia Nuts.
Use the blender until the ice cream is smooth. You may need to stop and stir with a spoon a couple of times, depending on your blender’s capabilities.
Take out the ice cream and put into your favourite bowl or serving dish and sprinkle with chopped Macadamia Nuts and cinnamon.
This is a “hit” with children and with adults! Enjoy! Yummy!!!
