Janet Williams is honoured to have been invited to be a contributing author to the “My Favourite Word” book, created by the City of Mississauga Culture Division and the Mississauga Library System.
Children and Authors from Mississauga, were invited to participate and provide their favourite word. In keeping with her love of the planet, Janet wrote about her favourite word “Earth”. This initiative was in junction with the 2010 Mississauga Literary Festival and was designed as a way to encourage, support and engage readers of all ages.
The “My Favourite Word” has been well received by educators and parents as an excellent initiative to promote literacy, reader engagement and the joy of reading. The book is available in Mississauga Libraries and the project and artwork are on display on the 3rd floor of the Central Library in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
